To Whom it may concern: While planning for our wedding, my husband and I split tasks, and as he is an amateur photographer, I put him in charge of finding someone to shoot our engagement and wedding photos. My husband is best described as economical, so he was searching craigslist and came across Becki’s Profile. To be perfectly honest, I was a little skeptical. In my head, I wanted a “seasoned” photographer, but I agreed to meet her with him. From the moment we met Becki, her husband, and their daughter at Starbucks, I was sold. They seemed so professional, and yet personable at the same time. She seemed to really care about making our days special, and her prices were so reasonable that we didn’t hesitate to book her for our special days. We did our engagement shoot on a chilly autumn day out at the location of our wedding. We had such a good time, and Becki gave us good direction as well as letting us choose what we wanted to do. When we got our photos back (very quickly...we couldn’t believe how fast she got them done) we were absolutely blown away! For me, they were the most favorite photos I have ever seen of myself. She knew perspective and angles, and the photo editing she did on some of our pictures was just amazing. We were so excited about how our wedding day photos would turn out. Between our engagement shoot and our wedding day, I started getting some of that “bridal anxiety” that seems to creep up on some brides. I was worried I would hate how I would look in my dress, and I was worried about some pictures being unflattering. Since I am not supermodel thin, I was really afraid of hating my pictures. I decided to address my fears with Becki via email. She so understood where I was coming from! She and I emailed back and forth a few times and I showed her some poses that I liked and she offered up some tips for making sure I looked my best. I was so thankful for her help. When it came to the big day, Becki and her husband were both there for us and not there (if that makes sense). They were very professional and got great pics but were never in the way. I had so many compliments on them and we hadn’t even gotten the pictures back yet! One of my bridesmaids even asked her to come to Texas and photograph her wedding some day! On a personal note, I loved having her there with me for the getting ready photos. Her presence was very calming and soothing and she blended in with my wedding party as if she belonged there. It was as if I had a caring family member there to shoot our big day. Even though it was a very cold December day, and most of our photos were taken outside, we still had a great time! We got our pictures back and were amazed and thankful again at how great they were. Our album is gorgeous. Even though Kevin and I have since moved away from Kansas City, we are making plans to come back someday to have Becki shoot our first professional family photos (we became the parents of twin boys on July 16, 2010). I hope you can tell that Becki has my highest respect and recommendation as a photographer and a person. You would be so lucky to have her there for your special day. Aubrey G. |

So you’re thinking about hiring Becki as your photographer? I have two words for you: DO IT! My husband and I got engaged in November of 2009, and shortly thereafter we started wedding planning. We knew that one of our highest priorities was going to be great photos, but we also knew that we didn’t want to spend several thousand on a wedding photographer. The search began for the perfect photographer. We started talking with our vendors about photographers, scoured bridal websites, talked to every relative, friend and acquaintance we had ever known that had used a photographer. We found what looked to be some promising photographers, but there was always something that seemed off. Either they wanted way too much money, wouldn’t let us get a CD of our own photos with a release, weren’t available or something else. None of them clicked, and I was getting desperate. I started searching Craigslist, although I had never used the site much. I emailed Becki an arsenal of questions one day in January 2010 after seeing her post and checking out her website. She promptly replied, and we began emailing back and forth. She was always very polite, prompt and answered every question I threw at her. I had researched photographers for a month now, had a very long list of questions, but Becki had the patience to answer all of my crazy questions and set up a meeting. We met later that month, and from the first moments of the meeting, we knew she was the photographer for us. After meeting with other photographers, all of them being so stiff and formal (very unlike us), not personable or very forced, the meeting with Becki and Joe felt like catching up with some old friends. My husband and I both commented to each other after the meeting how warm, friendly and “right” they seemed to be. Becki’s style of photography was right up our alley, and her sense of humor, ability to answer all of my crazy questions, pricing and availability were all perfect. We signed contracts that night and mailed the deposit check that week. We set up engagement photos in April 2010. The shoot was very fun, relaxed and enjoyable. The photos were amazing! We knew we had made the perfect choice. Everyone commented how amazing our engagement photos were, and I still receive compliments. After that, we worked out all the details for the wedding, and when the big day arrived in June 2010, Becki and Joe beat us to the ceremony site. It was their wedding anniversary, so we felt a special connection for the day – and very honored that they would share it with us. Becki was with us girls, and snapped photos from the instant we got to the dressing room. She helped out with little things here and there, helped everyone relax, and assured me that they couldn’t start the wedding without me when we were running behind! Becki and Joe operated as a great team throughout the ceremony, but I don’t even remember them being there. I have great memories of every moment of my ceremony, but they didn’t disrupt any part of it. They captured great photos of the families, wedding party and us after the ceremony, wandering around Unity Village on one of the hottest days with their cameras! They made us relax and enjoy our time during pictures, and dealt with a lot of very hot, somewhat cranky people to turn our photos into great memories. At the reception they continued to take pictures while blending in, and I have beautiful photographic memories from every part of my day because they were there to capture it all. We couldn’t wait to get our proofs back, and didn’t have to wait long. Just a week after the wedding, Becki had a sneak preview for us, and then a week or so later she had all of them ready to go, and mailed us our CDs. She got our albums completed and to us within a couple months, and they are wonderful! The wedding photos are beautiful, they capture so many perfect moments, memories and stories. I get complimented any time that someone sees a photo, and I always mention Becki’s name and tell them I’ll give them her info gladly. I plan on using Becki again any time that I need professional pictures, for family photos, kid photos, etc. I hope that you find Becki just as great as I did, trust me, Becki is one of the best you will find for your memories! ★★★★★ WONDERFUL PHOTOS AND SERVICE. Becki did a wonderful job on with our engagement pictures and was even patient with us as we attended to our son who was not cooperating. We were also very pleased the day of the wedding! Becki and her husband Joe went above and beyond to help us. We were running behind and couldn't get some things done, so her husband Joe was able to fill in and get some things set up at the reception hall while he was waiting on photographing the guys. They both did a wonderful job from the teasers I have seen and can not wait to see all the pictures. We were very rushed due to being behind and Becki helped keep me calm by getting as many pictures in as she could in a little amount of time.
